Jupyter Notebook Viewer
Utility to render Jupyter notebooks
The application provides a native macOS interface for displaying Jupyter and IPython notebook files. It renders notebooks using the nbviewer.js library, allowing users to open and read notebook content without requiring a running Jupyter server. The viewer also includes a Quick Look generator, enabling macOS users to preview notebook files directly from Finder with the standard Quick Look shortcut.
Installation is straightforward: the packaged app can be copied into the Applications folder, or it can be installed via Homebrew Cask. Once installed, the Quick Look integration should work automatically, and users can verify the plugin’s presence with the macOS qlmanage tool. The software ships with a custom icon and a screenshot illustrating its appearance.
The project is maintained as a stable, macOS‑only utility under the MIT license, and it builds on the open‑source nbviewer.js component developed by Ondrej Kokes. It is intended for anyone who needs a simple, offline way to view Jupyter notebooks on a Mac.
