Kapowarr

Build and manage a comic book library. Download, rename, move and convert issues of the volume to your liking.

Kapowarr is a self‑hosted, open‑source tool for creating and maintaining a digital comic book library. It lets users add volumes, map them to folders, and automate the workflow of downloading, renaming, moving, and converting individual issues, including trade paperbacks, one‑shots, and hardcovers. The software integrates with a range of file‑hosting services such as DDL, Pixeldrain, and Mega, and can extract archives to rename contents in a single step.

The application follows the familiar UI pattern of the *arr suite, offering both “Search Monitored” mode for bulk volume downloads and a “Manual Search” option for selective retrieval. Existing comic collections can be imported, and all major operating systems are supported. Settings provide fine‑grained control over file naming conventions and destination paths.

Kapowarr is distributed under the GPL‑3.0 license, is free to use without subscription, and is maintained as a stable, community‑driven project. Documentation, installation guides, and support channels—including Discord, Reddit, and a public issue tracker—are available through the official documentation hub.
