Kindle Comic Converter
Comic and manga converter for ebook readers
Kindle Comic Converter prepares black‑and‑white or color comics and manga for display on e‑ink e‑readers such as Kindle, Kobo, ReMarkable and similar devices. It accepts image folders, CBZ archives or PDFs as input and can produce MOBI/AZW3, EPUB, KEPUB, CBZ or PDF outputs, applying optional image‑processing steps that improve contrast, remove unwanted margins, and downscale to the target screen resolution. The tool also handles right‑to‑left page order for manga and aligns two‑page spreads, while reducing file size to aid battery life and performance on low‑memory readers.
The graphical interface, built with Qt6, lets users drag and drop files, adjust processing options via tooltips, and convert with a single click. Output can be saved to a custom directory by holding Shift during conversion, after which files are copied to the device’s documents folder, typically via USB. macOS users with newer Kindles may need Amazon’s USB File Manager.
Designed for readers rather than publishers, the software runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and is maintained as a stable, open‑source project. It includes a PDF output profile optimized for ReMarkable devices and provides documentation and community support for troubleshooting and feature requests.
