LinearMouse provides granular control over mouse and trackpad behavior on macOS. Users can adjust pointer acceleration, speed, and scrolling direction, choosing natural scrolling for a trackpad while reversing it for a mouse. The utility also allows fine‑tuning of acceleration curves or disabling acceleration entirely for consistent precision.

The program supports per‑device and per‑application profiles, ensuring that settings follow the specific hardware, app, or display in use. Profiles can be created, edited, and switched automatically, keeping configurations organized across different workflows.

Button remapping is included, letting users assign custom shortcuts, media controls, Mission Control actions, or gesture‑driven commands to mouse buttons and scroll wheels. LinearMouse is open‑source, stable, and installable via Homebrew as a cask.
