MacPass

MacPass is a native macOS client that works with KeePass password databases. It offers a familiar macOS interface with support for tabs, autosave, undo/redo, drag‑and‑drop of entries and attachments, and QuickLook previews. The application can read and write both legacy KDB files and the newer KDBX format, allowing conversion between them.

The manager includes features such as autotype for automatic credential entry, a built‑in password generator with configurable rules, expiration date tracking, and history entries for entry changes. Custom icons can be assigned manually or generated from website favicons, and database synchronization merges external modifications without data loss.

MacPass is free and open source, provides auto‑update via Sparkle, and supports plugins for extending functionality. It is aimed at macOS users who need a KeePass‑compatible password vault that integrates tightly with the operating system.
