QtPass

QtPass provides a graphical interface to the Unix password manager pass, allowing users to create, edit, and retrieve GPG‑encrypted password entries through a native‑looking application on Linux, macOS, Windows, and BSD. The tool stores passwords as files under the user’s control and relies on standard GPG encryption, with optional Git synchronization for backup and multi‑device access. It also supports smartcard and YubiKey authentication for added security.

The application includes a built‑in password generator and an auto‑clearing clipboard to reduce exposure of copied secrets. Localization is available in more than twenty languages, and the software can be installed via package managers or built from source using Qt 5.15+ (Qt 6 recommended) and GnuPG 2.2+. QtPass is open source, free to use, and aims to keep the password store portable and independent of cloud services.
