Modoboa
Mail hosting and management platform including a modern and simplified web user interface.
Modoboa provides a self‑hosted email server with a web‑based administration panel and webmail interface built on Django and Vue. It integrates common mail components such as Postfix, Dovecot and Amavis, and stores configuration and metadata in a SQL database (MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite). The platform includes features like DNSBL and DMARC reputation checks, per‑user Sieve filtering, autoreply messages, calendar and address‑book management, and graphical traffic statistics.
The system is targeted at administrators and organizations that want to run their own mail service without relying on external providers. It is suitable for small to medium deployments where control over privacy, data locality and customization of domains, mailboxes and aliases is important. The modular design lets additional functionality be added as extensions, and the official installer automates most of the setup in under ten minutes.
Modoboa is released under the ISC license, is free of subscription fees, and is maintained as a stable open‑source project. Documentation, a demo instance, and community support channels are available, and professional services can be contracted for installation, maintenance or troubleshooting.
