Nimbus

Nimbus provides a native desktop client for the IRCCloud service on macOS. It connects to a user’s IRCCloud account and presents the chat interface in a standalone application, allowing users to interact with their IRC channels without a web browser.

The client integrates with macOS features such as the Notification Center, delivering alerts for incoming messages, and shows the total number of unread messages on the application’s dock badge. Users can extend functionality by placing userscripts in the designated Scripts folder under the user’s Application Support directory, where Nimbus will load them at runtime.

Distributed under the MIT license, Nimbus is a stable release built specifically for macOS, targeting IRCCloud users who prefer a dedicated desktop experience with system‑level notifications and badge counts.
