PowerClick
The missing 'New File' right-click menu for Mac.
PowerClick extends macOS Finder’s context menu with a set of actions that streamline common file‑management tasks. When a user right‑clicks in Finder, the extension offers options such as creating new files from built‑in templates, copying paths for one or multiple selections, cutting items, and moving them into the current folder without leaving the view. It also can turn clipboard contents into new files, generating text files from copied text or PNG images from screenshots.
The app includes a menu editor that lets users add custom items, choose icons, and manage reusable snippets. It supports multiple languages—including English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Turkish, and Dutch—and provides 15 templates covering basic, data, web, and code file types. Smart naming automatically increments filenames to prevent overwriting, and shell scripts receive execute permission on creation.
PowerClick runs as a lightweight menubar utility with no Dock icon or background windows, showing its status at a glance. It is a one‑time purchase, requires macOS 13.0 Ventura or later, and does not involve subscriptions.
