Quiver

Quiver is a programmer‑focused notebook that lets a combine plain text, source code, Markdown, and LaTeX within a single note. Each note is built from cells that can be any of those types, and code cells use the ACE editor with syntax highlighting for over a hundred languages. Markdown and LaTeX (via MathJax) are rendered live as you type, and images, files, and URLs can be dragged into text cells for easy embedding.

The application includes instant full‑text search powered by the same technology behind macOS Spotlight, allowing rapid retrieval of notes even in large collections. Organization is supported through tags, notebooks, and linked notes, while customizable UI themes and a full‑screen presentation mode cater to both personal and collaborative workflows.

All data is stored locally in plain JSON files, with autosave ensuring changes are never lost. Export options include HTML and PDF, and the app offers cloud syncing, team collaboration, version control, and backup features for users who need to share or preserve their work.
