Screego
Screego is a simple tool to quickly share your screen to one or multiple people via web browser.
It enables browser‑based screen sharing, allowing a user to broadcast their desktop to one or many participants without installing additional client software. The service runs as a self‑hosted server, distributed as a single binary or Docker image, and uses WebRTC for direct, encrypted media transfer. An integrated TURN server handles NAT traversal, providing low‑latency, high‑resolution streams that remain readable even for code or detailed UI.
The tool targets developers and teams who need a lightweight, reliable way to show their screen during collaboration, debugging, or code reviews, especially when existing corporate chat platforms introduce lag or poor quality. Because it focuses solely on screen sharing, it can be added to existing workflows without replacing other communication tools.
Screego is released under the GPL‑3.0 license, is free to use, requires no subscription, and follows semantic versioning for stable releases. Its open‑source nature allows anyone to inspect, modify, or host their own instance.
