sent
Simple plaintext presentation tool.
sent reads a plain‑text file and renders each paragraph as a slide in a minimal X11 window. The tool automatically scales the slide content to fill the window, supports UTF‑8 text, and can display a single image per slide when the line begins with “@”. No markup language, LaTeX, or office suite is required; a slide deck is simply a sequence of paragraphs, with lines starting with “#” treated as comments.
The program is intended for users who prefer a lightweight, keyboard‑driven workflow, such as presenters of short talks or those using the Takahashi style. It runs on systems with Xlib and Xft, and optional farbfeld support enables image inclusion. Configuration is done by editing a header file and recompiling, keeping the codebase around 1 000 lines of C.
sent deliberately omits advanced features like multiple fonts, colors, animations, or export capabilities, focusing instead on a plain, high‑contrast display that works even in bright environments. Navigation is via arrow keys and the session can be exited with “q”.
