ShortcutCycle
Switch between context-based app groups with a single hotkey.
ShortcutCycle lets users organize open applications into context‑based groups such as “Web,” “Code,” or “Social,” and switch between the windows in a selected group with a single hotkey. By assigning each group a dedicated keystroke (for example, Option + 1), the user can cycle through only the relevant apps, avoiding the need to scan a full list of windows or type search queries. The tool displays a lightweight overlay that shows the target window before the switch occurs.
The software is built in Swift for Apple Silicon, runs natively on macOS, and launches any target app that is not already running. Configuration data are stored locally, can be exported as JSON, and are automatically backed up, ensuring that settings persist without external services. ShortcutCycle is open‑source, free to use, and positioned as a stable utility for users who want faster, context‑aware window navigation.
