SongUp provides a web‑based shared music queue that lets a host connect a speaker, create a room, and display a QR code or room code for guests to join from their phones. Once inside, participants can search YouTube and add songs to a common playlist, while the host can reorder, skip, or remove tracks and configure limits on how many songs each guest may add. The interface updates in real time, and a fallback playlist automatically plays when no new selections are made.

The tool is aimed at informal gatherings such as parties, watch parties, barbecues, or any situation where a group wants collaborative control of background music without requiring individual logins or app installations. Its open‑source nature and lack of mandatory authentication make it easy to set up quickly for any size audience.
