Taskwarrior-Pomodoro

Pomodoro timer for Taskwarrior

Source

Taskwarrior‑Pomodoro is a macOS application that integrates the Pomodoro time‑boxing technique with the Taskwarrior command‑line task manager. It reads the user’s Taskwarrior data, presents a filtered list of pending tasks, and runs timed work intervals, defaulting to 25 minutes, while optionally displaying a daily count of completed Pomodoros.

Configuration is performed through the ~/.taskrc file, where users can specify the path to the Taskwarrior binary, set custom filters and sorting for the task list, adjust the interval length, choose a notification sound, and control whether project names are shown or prefixed. A post‑completion hook can invoke any script, receiving the task’s UUID, enabling integrations such as goal‑tracking or billing.

The program is distributed as a macOS bundle that can be installed by dragging it into the Applications folder, and it is considered stable for everyday productivity use.
