TinyPNG4Mac
Open-source tool to compress images.
Tiny Image is a macOS client that interfaces with the TinyPNG API to compress image files without opening a web browser. Users supply an API key, then drag images or folders onto the application window, or invoke the service from Finder via a context‑menu entry. The tool supports conversion among PNG, JPEG, AVIF and WebP, automatically selecting the smallest format when appropriate, and keeps a cache of the number of images processed.
The software targets macOS users who need batch image compression and format conversion while working locally. It is open‑source, released under the MIT license, and runs on macOS 13 Ventura and newer; earlier macOS versions require a prior release. The application’s workflow is straightforward: register an API key, paste it into Settings, and compress images through drag‑and‑drop or Finder services.
