CandyBar Sugar Free Edition is a macOS‑only utility that lets users organize and browse a personal collection of file icons. It provides a library‑style interface for viewing, categorising and previewing icons, supporting the latest macOS releases and Apple Silicon. The app no longer attempts to replace system icons, focusing instead on managing large icon archives.

The tool is aimed at individuals who maintain custom icon sets for personal or design purposes, offering a straightforward way to keep those assets accessible and searchable. It retains the visual style of its earlier Pixadex component while running on modern macOS versions.

Because the software is distributed without technical support, users must handle Gatekeeper warnings and any remaining bugs themselves. The application remains free to download, but it is provided “as is” with no warranty or assistance.
