Fork provides a graphical interface for common Git operations on macOS and Windows. Users can fetch, pull, push, commit, amend, create and delete branches, tags, and remote repositories, as well as perform cherry‑pick, revert, merge, rebase, and stash actions. The client includes a repository manager that displays commit lists, history, and file trees, and offers line‑by‑line staging of changes.

The tool adds visual helpers for merge conflicts, interactive rebasing, and an advanced diff viewer that supports side‑by‑side comparisons and image diffs. Additional utilities such as blame view, reflog recovery, Git‑flow support, Git LFS handling, and GPG integration are built in, allowing developers to inspect commit provenance and manage large files directly from the UI.

Fork also integrates GitHub notifications in a non‑intrusive manner and provides quick access to recent repositories. It targets developers who prefer a desktop client for Git workflow management while retaining access to standard command‑line features.
