TV Renamer is a Java‑based graphical utility that renames TV episode files using information from TV listings. It parses existing filenames, such as “Lost.S06E05.DD51.720p.WEB‑DL.AVC‑FUSiON.mkv”, and rewrites them into a clearer format like “Lost [6x05] Lighthouse.mkv”. The program supports batch processing, allowing many episodes to be renamed in a single operation, and lets users customize the pattern and content of the resulting filenames.

The interface follows the native look and feel of the host operating system, providing drag‑and‑drop or a conventional “add file” workflow. It is distributed for macOS, Windows, and Linux in both 32‑ and 64‑bit builds, and runs on any platform with a compatible Java runtime.

TV Renamer is open source and maintained as a community project. Contributions in the form of bug reports or pull requests are welcomed, and the source code remains freely available.
