WebViewScreenSaver
Screen saver that displays web pages
WebViewScreenSaver is a macOS screen‑saver module that renders one or more web pages within the idle screen. Users can supply a list of URLs, local HTML files, or remote resources, and the saver will cycle through them for a configurable interval; a negative interval keeps the current page displayed indefinitely. Configuration is performed through the standard Desktop & Screen Saver preferences pane, and advanced changes can be scripted via macOS’s defaults system and plist files.
The saver is distributed as a cask through Homebrew, as a direct download from GitHub releases, or by building from source with Xcode. Since version 2.2.1 the bundle is ad‑hoc signed, and installation may require disabling Gatekeeper or removing the quarantine attribute. An example JSON file provides sample URLs and can be used with the built‑in fetch feature.
The project targets macOS users who want dynamic, web‑based content on their screensaver, and it offers straightforward installation, configurable cycling, and scriptable settings while remaining under the Apache 2.0 license.
