Mater

Mater is a minimal Pomodoro timer that resides in the macOS menu bar, providing a compact interface for time‑boxing work and break intervals. The application displays a countdown on its menubar icon and allows users to adjust the timer by dragging the time ruler even while it is running. Configurable durations for work sessions and breaks let users tailor the Pomodoro cycle to their preferences.

Keyboard shortcuts enable quick control: the spacebar toggles play and pause, and the escape key dismisses the timer. Optional sound effects accompany winding and button clicks, with the ability to mute them. The app is built in Swift and is distributed as a macOS‑only binary, available via Homebrew tap or manual download from the project's release page.
